Aljasku je pogodio masivni potres koji je uništio imovinu i teško oštetio ceste i infrastrukturu.
Potres jačine 7.0 po Richterovoj ljestvici pogodio je grad Anchorage na Aljasci u petak rano ujutro, prekinuvši dotok struje, potresajući zgrade i stavljajući mnoge živote u opasnost. Evakuirano je više bolnica i škola dok je potres tresao zemlju.
Epicentar potresa bio je sjeverno od baze Elmendorf-Richardson, navodi Centar za potrese Aljaske.
