U nedjelju, Shaun King, Linda Sarsour i ostali liberali mislili su da kritiziraju Trumpovu administraciju kad su tweetali fotografiju na kojoj maloljetni imigranti spavaju u kavezima, ali je ispalo da su nehotice tweetali fotografiju događaja koji se desio tijekom Obamine administracije.
U očiglednom pokušaju kritiziranja Trumpove administracije i njihovog tretmana djece bez pratnje na američkoj granici s Meksikom, bivši pisac Obaminih govora Jon Favreau tweetao je link na AZCentral.com s člankom naslovljenim “Prvi pogled na imigrantsku djecu u objektu za držanje”.
“To se događa upravo sada i jedina rasprava koje je trenutačno važna je kako prisiliti našu vladu da vrati ovu djecu svojim obiteljima što je brže moguće”, napisao je Favreau u kasnije obrisanom tweetu, koji je sadržavao uznemirujuću fotografiju dva maloljetna imigranta koji spavaju u kavezu.
